Russell
Phillips
Managing Director/ GPS tracking fleet advisor
Russell Phillips first formed GPS
Tracking NZ in 2005 to provide an interface between manufacturers
and companies requiring specialist GPS Tracking equipment. With
25 years experience in the New Zealand motor industry covering technical,
sales, management, human resources and recruitment, Russell has
had extensive contact with most companies NZ wide in the automotive,
heavy automotive, heavy equipment, agricultural, forklift and heavy
transport sectors. Also owning the highly respected consultancy,
Automotive Employment NZ Ltd it was easy for Russell to identify
the benefits of GPS Tracking technology and its applications for
employers in improving work place productivity, particularly with
those staff members who are field based. A chance meeting with a
GPS manufacturer and Russell quickly lead the two companies recognising
the symbiotic relationship that could be forged. While these days
the focus has shifted to the transport, passenger vehicle and freight
markets clients can be assured of an in-depth understating of the
practicalities of what can be achieved with a large range of equipment
and vehicles using GPS technology.
Russell is involved in advising small
to corporate sized companies of what can be achieved with GPS Tracking
systems and daily managing the activities of the staff at GPS Tracking
NZ.
In Russell's spare time he enjoys
boating, fishing, camping, snow and water skiing, mountaineering,
scuba diving, 4X4 recreational driving and the collection of rare
and antique automotive memorabilia. In past years he has been competitive
